I know what I want out of Life

I chose TAMIU.

Yes, after months of heart wrenching deliberation, I can currently be found within a sea of dustdevils and not at Aggieland. My first day at TAMIU didn't give me butterflies in my stomach like the first day of class usually does. I'm always really excited to meet my new teachers, but most of my professors sound like the teacher from the Peanuts comics: "wha, whaah, whaaah, whaaah", except for my British Lit teacher who actually keeps my attention.

He told us that our future diploma is just a decoration, what really matters is what is intangible: The prize that is knowledge.

While I'm on the topic about British Lit, which is a class full of juniors, there is this annoying guy ALWAYS making arbitrary comments. He looks like 30 years old and he's constantly adding his unnecessary 2 cents into every comment the teacher makes. I knew this guy's female equivalent in High School and this guy just proved those "type" of people never change. Honestly, the other 60 people in the room WANT YOU TO SHUT UP! I don't know how to handle this guy, but I take my Chaucer very seriously.

I'm like a horse that needs blinders because people making googly eyes or texting during lectures distracts me. I feel like I'm at the movies with people talking behind me, and I just might get so annoyed that I will stand from my chair in front the class and tell them to "be quiet!"

My first lesson at TAMIU is Tolerance. Ah, these are the joys of Freshman year!
